Valentine’s day in Mallorca

“Begin the romantic journey in the mountains”

Mallorca itself is such a romantic place and there are plenty of things you can do to treat yourself or a loved one this Valentine’s day. We would like to begin our romantic journey up in the mountains. From Mirador es Colomer close to Port Pollenca you will experience the most incredible sunsets. The sun sets around 18:30 in Mallorca now make sure to be there a little bit earlier to watch the sky turn into a vivid colour play.

“The most remarkable perfume boutique in Palma”

This is a place we’ve been wanting to tell you about for a long time, and it’s the most remarkable perfume boutique in Palma called Arquinesia. Arquinesia was created and designed as a result of several trips to the Mediterranean and out of love for the Balearic Islands. Each aroma has got its own little theme room before you enter the secret garden from where the actual shop is placed where you can buy not only perfumes but all from scented candles to shower oils. Even if you’re not meaning to buy anything, you should just visit this shop to be amazed at how creative and beautiful this place is.

“The Gordiola shop in the old town will set your heart on fire”

If your loved one or yourself is into glassware, the Gordiola shop in the old town will set your heart on fire! It’s difficult to leave this place when you’ll be mesmerised by all the radiant colours and lustrous shapes. The glassmaker Gordiola has got traces to be founded all the way back in 1719 by a young glassmaker from the Crown of Aragon. You can easily spot Venetian Murano influences but the Gordiola glass is slightly more rustic when the glass formula is dried quicker than the Murano. The glasswares are absolutely fantastic and we wish we could buy the entire shop.

“A hidden massage gem called Sanuk”

From the mountains, we are now taking the journey to Palma. Just above Placa del Mercat in the old town, there is a hidden massage gem called Sanuk Mallorca, from where you can receive the most pleasurable massages. You can choose from oil thai massages, kobi-do, traditional Thai massage, and mixed massages. The atmosphere here is very tranquil, the staff is wonderful and you’ll feel at ease after just entering the studio.

“Healthy and delicious food with a KM-0 ingredients”

We thought you could end your romantic day in another secret garden at the restaurant Botanic nestled in the old town part called La Lonja. Here you can enjoy courses by the chef Andrés Benítez while snuggling up in the beautiful garden. All the dishes bear the seal of chef Benítez's healthy and delicious food that is globally inspired but with green KM-0 (kilometer zero) ingredients used in their creation. This is a wonderful place to spend an entire evening and if the whether wont allow alfresco dining under the stars there is a very cosy venue indoors.
